International Cooperation

The Goethe Institute in Uzbekistan has signed a cooperation agreement with new partner universities for the implementation of the German language teaching program

Currently, the Goethe Institute in Uzbekistan runs the "Learning to Teach German (DLL)" program on a contractual basis in six higher education institutions. Within the framework of this project, since the 2020-2021 academic year, successful cooperation has been carried out with Urgench State University in teaching German as a specialized subject.

Furthermore, considering the growing demand for young German language teachers, a memorandum of cooperation was planned to introduce university students to the latest developments in modern pedagogy and methodology. The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Urgench State University, Professor Sardor Khodjaniyozov, and the Head of the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology at the Faculty of Foreign Philology, Gulnora Abdullayeva.

During the event, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Urgench State University introduced the representatives of the new partner universities to the achievements of the DLL project over the past three years. Subsequently, agreements were signed with the new partner universities, and discussions were held on further improving the methodological and linguistic skills of German language teachers, as well as implementing modern educational programs in the teaching process.

At the end of the ceremony, representatives of all partner universities received gifts from the Goethe Institute.
