A number of works are being carried out to perpetuate the memory of our ancestors who sacrificed their dear lives in a valiant struggle to ensure the independence of our country, the freedom and liberty of our people, and the peaceful and prosperous life of future generations, who were repressed during the authoritarian regime, to study and promote their activities and heritage.

In particular, in the past period, important decrees and decisions were adopted in this direction. Every year since 2001, August 31 is widely celebrated in our country as "Remembrance Day of Victims of Political Repression". The memorial complex "Memorial of Martyrs" was established. Its departments were established under the Public Fund "Memorial of Martyrs", the State Museum of Victims of Political Repression, and regional higher education institutions.

The team of the "Museum of Victims of Political Repression" in the structure of Urganch State University is a true and complete reflection of the many years of hard struggles for the freedom, liberty and independence of our country, victims of mass repressions during the autocratic regime. In order to perpetuate the memory of our compatriots, to strengthen the feelings of love for the Motherland and loyalty to the ideas of independence in the hearts of the young generation, If you have things, memories heard from your loved ones, documents related to the lives and activities of people who lived in your family, neighborhood, village, district or city, who were victims of political repression, and related to them, we ask you to send all details, samples of documents, names, and addresses clearly and objectively in the form of letters and other shipments or by personal appeal to the "Museum of Victims of Political Repression" in the structure of UrSU.
