The Urgench State University (UrSU, Uzbekistan) shares the vision for differentiation by promoting internationalization, practice-based research and pedagogical innovation. Reinforcing its unique internationalization project, the UrSU opens the 2023/2024-academic year Call for the reception of visiting professors, with the conditions described in the attached document.

Announcement 2023/2024 academic year

The updated strategy of the university and changes in the landscape of higher education are at a significant level. For further development of our international profile and reputation, the university pays special attention to:

- improving the organization of joint educational programs with foreign higher educational institutions.

Urgench State University, Republic of Uzbekistan (UrSU, Uzbekistan, www.urdu.uz/en) plans to increase the International Ranking by promoting internationalization, applied research and innovation in teaching. Building on its history of internationalization, UrSU promotes the opening of a Public Notice for the 2023/2024 academic year to admit visiting professors with the following conditions:

1. Mobility period and work plan:

A) A visiting professor must stay at UrSU:

During the 1st, 2nd semester 2023/2024, from 09/04/2023, to 07/05/2024, for a duration of at least 2 months, with the following responsibilities:

B) Teaching a subject according to the UrSU academic cycle (usually 6 ECTS credits, 4 teaching hours per week);

C) Developing the research work plan (preferably integrated into the research units of UrSU) at least with one UrSU professor;

D) Participating in international pedagogical innovative projects implemented at UrSU, and other innovative modules and master classes, volunteer initiatives.

1. Provided support:

UrSU provides the visiting professor with free accommodation at the UrSU International Teachers' Residence, round-trip airfare and monthly salary.

1. Requirements for candidates:

The visiting professor must have a PhD diploma, scientific-educational program of international importance given in the list of fields for the 2023-2024 academic year, a motivation letter (describing the field of activity and preferred work plan) and curriculum vitae in a single PDF file (maximum size 2048 KB).
