A teacher is a great person!

Today, May 10, a memorial tournament in mathematics was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni in memory of the teacher of many students, mathematician, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Ismoil Abdullayev. Students of secondary schools in the region actively participated in it.

In the second half of the day, an award ceremony for the memorial tournament in mathematics with the participation of students of secondary schools was held. Initially, the ceremony was opened by the acting rector of UrSU, Sardor Khodjaniyazov. 

Also, honorary professors of the university Sultanposhsha Masharipova, Anakhon Jumanazarova, and the dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Ilyos Abdullayev, spoke and remembered the teacher. They recognized his life, scientific and creative research, worthy contribution to the field of mathematics, and his followers who continue the scientist's work and occupy a place in society today. 

Bakhrom Abdullayev, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education and Healthcare of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, spoke about the achievements in the field of science and the attention paid to education in our country, and thanked all the students and youngsters who actively participated in today's tournament. 

After that, the results of the memory tournament held with the participation of students of secondary schools were announced, and the winners of the tournament were awarded diplomas and souvenirs. Also, letters of gratitude were presented to school teachers who actively participated in the tournament.
