Yoga Sessions Conducted at UrSU by Specialists from India


On May 18, yoga sessions were organized at Urgench State University in cooperation with the Embassy of India in Tashkent and the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan, aimed at widely promoting a healthy lifestyle, strengthening physical and mental health, and explaining the importance of yoga for human well-being.

On this occasion, the university was visited by Mr. Sharad Munde, yoga instructor at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Mr. Kirti Singh Rawat, representative of the Embassy of India in Tashkent, and Ms. Umida Akhmedova, assistant at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture.

Initially, an official meeting was held between the university administration and representatives of the Indian delegation under the leadership of the Head of the International Cooperation Department, Oybek Sotiboldiyev. During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation with higher education institutions in India in modern fields were discussed. In particular, views were exchanged on establishing student and faculty exchange programs, attracting Indian students to study at Urgench State University, and inviting qualified yoga trainers from India to the university.

After the official meeting, yoga sessions were conducted in cooperation with the Embassy of India in Tashkent and the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan.

During the sessions, the visiting Indian specialists provided practical demonstrations of yoga exercises and explained their significance for human health. University professors and students actively participated and performed the exercises with great interest.
