Urgench State University Trade Union Committee

As we all know, trade unions are an organization that protects the socio-economic and legal interests of employees and is an authorized representative body of workers.

The total number of members of the joint trade union committee of Urgench State University is 10,795, of which 1,356 are professors and employees.

The University Trade Union Committee operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Federation Council of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and the Republican Council of Education, Science and Culture in the protection of socio-economic and legal interests Works based on a collective agreement for 2020-2022.

The collective agreement (with additions and amendments to the agreement) consists of 14 chapters and 132 clauses and applies to all employees and students of the university.

The trade union committee works in accordance with its annual work plan, cost estimates in the implementation of the provisions of the Collective Agreement on socio-economic protection of employees and students. Strengthening the protection of socio-economic, legal, labor interests of employees and students, sports, recreation, pays special attention to the implementation of cultural and educational activities.

In accordance with the Collective Agreement, the University provides incentives for staff and student achievements, the participation of the trade union committee in the awarding of prizes on the eve of the holidays.

In order to improve the conditions of labor protection and safety of staff and students in all systems and departments of the University, work, study, residence, an agreement (Agreement) on "Occupational Health and Safety" is concluded between the administration and the trade union.

Students and Staff with disabilities are provided with services provided by Urgench state university, discounts on contract fees, disability benefits are provided once a year, assistant students are assigned to blind students, they are given extra time during exams or tests and education. Seeks to ensure equal opportunities. Students with documented disabilities will consult with a disability specialist to discuss disability as well as appropriate accommodations provided by Urgench state university.

Termination of an employment contract (especially at the initiative of the administration) requires the consent of the trade union committee in the case of expulsion of the student.

The participation of the trade union committee in the awarding of state awards to employees who have achieved exemplary work at the university provided. Employee vacation schedules approved in consultation with the trade union committee.

The trade union committee conducts regular inspections to improve the cultural facilities of the university, student canteens and service outlets. Organizes the rehabilitation of university staff in sanatoriums.

The treatment also provides financial assistance to low-income employees in need of medication. The conditions of living, studying, recreation, physical education and sports, as well as the organization of spiritual and educational work among students living in the dormitory will be studied.

The trade union committee will develop a plan of spirituality hours and organize spirituality hours in order to increase the socio-political and legal literacy of staff and students.

Cultural events held among the staff and students, the masters of their profession, the most active young scientists participated in competitions and other events. In order to contribute to the development of domestic tourism, a trip to the historical monuments of Bukhara-Samarkand and other cities of the country will be organized.

The Trade Union Committee of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan pays special attention to the health and well-being of employees and students. .

There is a Youth Commission under the University Trade Union, which plans to hold a number of events with young people.

The trade union committee is working effectively to further expand the scope of social protection of University staff and students in the future.
