1.  Goals and objectives of the department
1.  Creation of practical, joint scientific-practical projects on the basis of cooperation with the leading enterprises of our republic and scientific centers of foreign countries; development of integration of science, technology and production, commercialization of scientific research results in the field of science and technology, and intellectual research activity of university students, masters, basic doctoral students (PhD), doctoral students (DSc), independent researchers in the field of private entrepreneurship. The main goal of the department is to provide consulting services for property protection and management, communication of news in the field of scientific and technical, educational and innovation.
2.  The department performs the following tasks to achieve this goal:
-  To develop a development strategy for the commercialization of promising technologies and technology transfer, to launch marketing activities, to develop measures for the protection of intellectual property and their assessment;
-  Creation of a database (bank) of completed technologies that may be required by leading enterprises of our republic and region and scientific centers of foreign countries;
-  Advising university students, masters, basic doctoral students (PhD), doctoral students (DSc), independent researchers on the execution of business contracts and scientific and practical projects, protection and management of intellectual property, scientific and technical cooperation between other organizations assist in the promotion and engagement of initiatives across sectors;
-  Organization of a package (bank) of technology and production orders required in leading industrial enterprises;
-  Creation of transfer of intellectual property and technologies by sectors, development and implementation of necessary documents and measures;
-  Conducting research on the development of innovative technologies and technology transfer;
-  Support and practical use of information on innovative technologies and technology transfer;
-  Advising university students, masters, basic doctoral students (PhD), doctoral students (DSc), independent researchers on protection of intellectual property, management, commercialization of technologies and implementation of scientific research works based on business contracts;
-  To inform and promote the potential of the department in the field of scientific, technical and technology transfer to state organizations and agencies, as well as other initiative participants;
-  To support the development of interdisciplinary relations of URSU with scientific research institutes and industrial enterprises;
-  To attract and use additional resources in order to successfully operate in the field of technology transfer;
-  Organizing and supporting competitions for the implementation of field-oriented scientific research and innovative projects;
-  Organization of conferences, seminars and symposia on issues related to technology transfer and technology commercialization, entrepreneurship and scientific and technical exchange;
-  Development of the department’s international cooperation in the fields of technology transfer and technology commercialization, scientific and innovative, and production.
