In September 25, 2019, the senior teacher of the “English Language and Literature” department Rakhimova Khilola organized and conducted a scientific-methodological workshop for the teachers of the department, which was held at the Professional Development Centre. Being connected with Khilola Rakhimova’s having a professional development course throughout the August of this year at NILE (Norwich Institute for Language Education) in Norwich, Great Britain, this workshop was dedicated to the exchange of experience, gained during a professional development course abroad with the teachers of the department.

According to the suggestions of the teachers of the department, this workshop was devoted to the topic "Advantages and disadvantages of using authentic material." The workshop began with an exchange of views on the use of authentic material, and then teachers were encouraged to use authentic material in practice. As an authentic material, H. Rakhimova chose a video called “Ronald L. Sanford story inside death row”. The workshop was interesting and productive. At the end of workshop, the teachers of the department made their suggestions on the topic of the next workshop, being conducted by Kh.Rakhimova.
