On October 22, 2022, South Korea's Silla University Vice President Professor Pyeongkee Kim, Director of International Cooperation Department Professor Hyung Geun Kim, Korean Language Specialist, Korean Content Development Professor Jeong Seon visited Urganch State University.

At the beginning of the visit, they met with UrSU rector B. Abdullayev. The meeting was also attended by G. Orazboyev, vice-rector for international relations of UrSU, Z. Jumaniyozov, dean of the faculty of foreign philology, J. Ermetova, head of the "English language and literature" department, and E. Yoldashev, head of the international cooperation department.

Before the meeting, the parties exchanged information about the current activities of the universities. In particular, UrSU Rector B.Abdullayev spoke about the expansion of international relations with Korean universities, the introduction of Korean as a second language, and the ongoing work on the development of the Korean language at the university, as well as his suggestions for establishing cooperation with Silla University: To open a language course, to involve a professor-teacher in teaching the Korean language to the students of the courses where specialists are trained in the fields of tourism, mechanical engineering, and IT.

During the dialogue, the transfer of students who wish to study at Silla University, the establishment of joint educational programs, the allocation of grants, the organization of seminars on topics were also discussed, and a cooperation agreement was signed between Urganch State University and Silla University of South Korea.
