On November 17, at 10:30, the opening ceremony of the international conference was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. This conference was held at the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. A number of well-known literary scholars of the Uzbek and Azerbaijani people took part in the conference. At the beginning of the process, the chairman of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Iso Habibbeyli, made a speech and expressed his conclusions about the importance of literary relations in the good relations between the two countries. At the opening ceremony of this international conference, the dean of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Philological Sciences D.Q. Gayipov spoke and expressed his opinion about the common aspects of Uzbek and Azerbaijani literary studies and the essence of literary relations. At 15:00, the main part of the conference began, and a group of professors and teachers of the "Uzbek language and literature" department of the Faculty of Philology of Urganch State University, associate professors N. Djumaniyazova, I. Ismailov and the department teacher M. Otamuratova participated with lectures. At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates and souvenirs by the leadership of the academy.
