On October 14, 2023, Rafael Jiménez Castañeda, vice-rector for international relations of the University of Cádiz, Spain, and Andres Santana, director of the International University Center of Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the University of Cádiz, visited Urganch State University.

Rector of UrSU B.Abdullayev and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation G.Orazboyev met with the guests.

At the meeting, the guests were first informed about the international cooperation relations of Urganch State University, in particular, cooperation with Spanish higher education institutions, and young scientists who graduated from prestigious Spanish higher education institutions and are studying within the doctoral programs of the El-Yurt Umid Foundation.

At the meeting, the parties put forward a number of proposals for establishing cooperation between the two universities: cooperation in the areas of Spanish language and tourism, participation in international projects, scientific cooperation, internships of young scientists within the framework of international and republican funds, and study in doctoral courses.

After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the physics laboratory rooms of the university.
