On October 23-26 of this year, within the framework of the "Week of Azerbaijani culture and poetry" held in Khorezm regions, under the project and initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, Urganch State University in honor of the Azerbaijani poet, writer, dramatist, public figure "Azerbaijan-Uzbek friendship center named after Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli" was established.

It should be noted that this center, which is important for the further expansion of friendship and cooperation between our peoples and countries, has books reflecting the national-spiritual values, history, literature, culture and art of Azerbaijan, figures of great poets and writers, and electronic literature, along with this, there are literature and photographs reflecting the life and creative activity of Yusuf Chamanzaminli. Also in the center there are exhibitions and corners that summarize the views of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan friendship, the meetings of the heads of state Ilhom Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, our brotherhood, statehood, history, culture, and literature of Azerbaijan.

The opening ceremony of this center was held today with the participation of members of the Azerbaijani delegation. Samir Abbasov, director of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center of Azerbaijan, professor Bobokhan Sharipov, director of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Tashkent, Botir Saidov, deputy governor of Khorezm region, Bakhrom Abdullayev, rector of Urganch State University, and the team of the faculty of Uzbek philology discussed the ancient common aspects and traditions between the two countries at the ceremony, and traditions, friendly relations, prospective cooperative relations in the field of education were deeply recognized, and confidence was expressed that the "Azerbaijan-Uzbek friendship center named after Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli" will serve to further strengthen these relations. A rich collection of books on the history and literature of Azerbaijan was presented as a gift by the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center of Azerbaijan.
