The delegation of the Indian Embassy in Tashkent visited Urgench State University

Today, a delegation led by the second secretary of the Indian Embassy in Tashkent, Mr. Sitesh Kumar, visited Urgench State University.

First, the guests got acquainted with the Center for the Study of Indian Culture, which was established on the basis of cooperation at the Faculty of Foreign Philology of the university.

After that, there was an official dialogue with the members of the delegation. It was attended by the first vice-rector of UrSU D. Ibadullayev, the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Z. Jumaniyozov, the head of the "English language and literature" department, the coordinator of the Center for the Study of Indian Culture J. Ermetova, the employees of the international relations department of the university, as well as representatives of the Academy of Choreography.

At the meeting, information was presented about cooperation relations with Urgench State University and Indian higher education institutions, various projects. The guests were especially pleased with the ITEC and Erasmus+ projects, yoga classes, and the interest of teachers and students of Urgench State University in Indian art and culture.

In the official dialogue, a number of proposals were made to expand the educational and scientific relations with the Indian HEIs.

At the end, the parties exchanged souvenirs.
