Today, on April 23, the members of the delegation of the People's Republic of China, consisting of 12 representatives of the higher education sector, who are currently in our country to develop cooperation in the field of science, visited Urgench State University.

During the visit, a meeting was held to discuss issues of cooperation with the delegation members led by Chen Xiwu director general of China's Jinan Science and Technology Bureau and Wang Xiao director of Shandong Analysis and Test Center, and university vice-chancellors, deans and heads of departments led by UrSU Rector Bakhrom Abdullayev.

At the official meeting, Rector B.Abdullayev first spoke about the cooperation relations of Urgench State University with Chinese higher education institutions, and expressed confidence in further strengthening of these relations in the future. He also introduced the guests to the establishment of Urgench State University and its comprehensive activities today. Taking into account that the Khorezm oasis is a tourist area, Urgench State University expressed its interest in cooperation with Chinese higher education institutions in the field of tourism, as well as in agriculture, concrete and humanitarian sciences.

In turn, Chen Xiwu, director general of Jinan Science and Technology Bureau and Wang Xiao, director of Shandong Analysis and Test Center, presented information about Chinese higher education institutions and their capabilities.

As a result of the negotiations, a cooperation agreement was signed between Urgench State University and China's Shandong Analysis and Test Center. This agreement envisages implementation of project applications for international scientific and technical cooperation, joint education of international graduate students, joint training of doctoral students.
