A scientific-practical conference and an educational evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the poet and writer Erkin Samandar
Today, May 17, a scientific-practical conference and an educational evening on the topic "The role and significance of Erkin Samandar's work in Uzbek national literature" was held at the Palace of Culture of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruniy on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Erkin Samandar, the honored journalist, poet and writer of Uzbekistan, holder of the Order of "Friendship".
The creative evening was attended by members of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, students and youth, as well as relatives, students and family members of E. Samandar. The event was opened by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Z.Ibragimov with an introductory speech and spoke about the poet's creative work.
The scientific and practical conference was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Arts D.Gayipov. The guests who spoke at the event spoke about the life path, work, great contribution to the development of the field, and human qualities of the poet and writer, and expressed their sincere wishes.
At the end of the event, the artistic performances performed by students and young people of the Faculty of Philology and Arts brought a good mood to everyone.
Such meetings are important in that they increase interest in literature, instill a love for creativity in the hearts of young people, and serve cultural and spiritual development.
