Seminar-Trainings Are Being Held at UrSU within the Framework of the “AELLCA” Program Project “Ambassadors for Inclusion – Creating an Inclusion in ELT Module”

Today, at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, seminar-trainings have commenced within the framework of the “AELLCA” program project “Ambassadors for Inclusion – Creating an Inclusion in ELT Module,” initiated by the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Foreign Philology.

The seminar-trainings, scheduled for January 20–23, are dedicated to the topic:
“Developing English Language Learning in Central Asia. Ambassadors for Inclusive Education — Creating a Module Aimed at Ensuring Inclusivity in English Language Teaching.”

To deliver lectures, professors Barbara Skinner and Hoeritzauer Franz Josef from Ulster University (United Kingdom), as well as Yelena Kandalina from A. Baitursynuly Kostanay State University (Republic of Kazakhstan), paid a visit to Urgench State University.

The event began with an official opening ceremony, attended by the Acting Rector of Urgench State University, S. Khodjaniyazov. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that such international events make a significant contribution not only to the development of English language learning and teaching processes, but also to strengthening international academic cooperation between higher education institutions.

Currently, within the framework of the seminar, professors Barbara Skinner and Hoeritzauer Franz Josef from Ulster University are conducting a training session on the topic:
“Understanding Inclusion in English Language Teaching: Challenges at National and Local Levels, and Module Content.”

During the training, participants are being introduced to modern approaches to inclusive education, strategies for adapting lessons to meet the needs of all students, and practical skills for developing module content.
