Implementation of the Collective Agreement and New-Term Objectives Discussed at UrSU
On February 28, 2026, a conference was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, dedicated to reviewing the implementation of the provisions of the Collective Agreement concluded between the university administration and the trade union committee for 2023–2025 in 2025, as well as approving the Collective Agreement for 2026–2028.
A total of 207 delegates from faculties and departments participated in the event. The conference was chaired by First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work D.Ibadullayev.
At the beginning of the meeting, reports were delivered by Acting Rector S.Khodjaniyazov and Chairman of the Trade Union Committee Q.Khamrayev on “The Status of Implementation of the Collective Agreement Provisions between the UrSU Administration and the Trade Union Committee in 2025.”
Subsequently, the issues of “Implementation of the 2025 agreement between the UrSU administration and the Trade Union Committee on labor protection and occupational safety for employees and students, and approval of the agreement for 2026” and “Approval of the Collective Agreement for 2026–2028” were discussed. Delegates’ proposals and initiatives were heard.
As a result of the meeting, in order to further improve the protection of social, economic, and legal interests of trade union members and socially vulnerable students, the Collective Agreement for 2026–2028 between the university administration and the primary trade union committee was approved.
