A cooperation meeting was held with the Director of the Goethe Institute

On February 2 of the current year, a meeting was held between the university administration and Ms. Barbara Anna Bernsmeier, Director of the Goethe-Institut branch in Uzbekistan, at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni as part of her visit.

It should be noted that Ms. Barbara Anna Bernsmeier has only recently begun her activities at the Goethe-Institut branch in Uzbekistan, and the main purpose of the visit was to become closely acquainted with the Institute’s partners.

During the meeting, the results of effective cooperation between the Goethe-Institut and Urgench State University within the framework of the “German Language Teacher Training (DLU)” program, which has been implemented since 2021, were discussed. In addition, the parties became closely familiar with the university’s activities and exchanged views on achievements, existing challenges, and prospects for future cooperation.

After the meeting, Ms.Barbara Anna Bernsmeier visited the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, where she met with faculty members and held discussions with students.
