The rector of Urgench State University participated in a training and practical seminar on the development of physical education and sports held at Termez State University

Today, a training and practical seminar on sharing experience in the field of physical education and sports was held at Termez State University for rectors of all higher education institutions.

The seminar was organized to ensure the implementation of priority tasks identified during the video conference meeting chaired by the President on April 7, 2026. The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kungirotboy Sharipov, the Minister of Sports, Adham Ikramov, as well as the Governor (Hokim) of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Kosimov.

During the meeting, it was particularly emphasized that integrating physical education and sports with the higher education system, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students, and developing sports infrastructure are among the top priorities today. Along with all university rectors, the rector of Urgench State University, Feruza Madrahimova, also took part in the seminar.

After the training and practical seminar organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Sports, the rectors ознакомились (became acquainted) with the activities carried out at the university in the field of physical education and sports. Afterwards, the participants visited the Sultan Saodat mausoleum in the city of Termez.
