Meeting with the Staff of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences

The next meeting of the Rector of Urgench State University, Feruza Madrahimova, was held with the staff of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean of the faculty, S.Sadullayev, presented a detailed report on the faculty’s activities. The report comprehensively covered the quality of education, scientific activity, and international cooperation, as well as the achieved results and priority tasks for the future.

During the discussion, the Rector analyzed the scientific potential across departments and held an open dialogue with researchers preparing to defend their dissertations, as well as with professors and teachers striving to obtain academic degrees and titles. It was particularly emphasized that the university administration is always ready to fully support their scientific research.

Currently, the faculty consists of 7 departments, employing 149 professors and teachers. The scientific capacity of the faculty stands at 55 percent.

During the meeting, the Rector proposed the initiative to establish a specialized academic council in the field of agriculture based on the faculty’s capabilities, as well as to organize modern scientific laboratories in order to further enhance the university’s scientific potential. In addition, the need to increase the publication of textbooks and teaching materials was noted.

At the end of the meeting, proposals and initiatives from the faculty members were heard, and specific practical measures were identified to systematically address existing issues, strengthen the integration of education and science, and elevate the faculty’s activities to a new level.
