Scientific-Theoretical Seminar
Another scientific-theoretical seminar was held at the Department of English Philology
On October 14, 2026, a scientific-theoretical seminar titled "Representation of Speech Acts in Spoken and Written Discourse: A Pragmalinguistic Approach" was held by Rohatoy Abidova, Acting Professor at the Department of English Philology, Faculty of Foreign Philology.
During the seminar, the realization of speech acts through intonation, gestures, and specific situational contexts in spoken communication, as well as through lexical-grammatical choices, punctuation, and text structure in written discourse, was thoroughly analyzed using practical and comparative examples.
The event, which was rich in lively discussions and Q&A sessions, left a great impression on the department's lecturers and researchers.
