On April 5-7 of this year, the finals of the "Universiade" sports competition, which is traditionally held among students of higher educational institutions, were held in the Khorezm region.

In the final, the winners of the regional stage of the competition, that is, the teams of Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Namangan and Khorezm regions, competed against each other.

Today, the final games and awarding ceremony of the intense and uncompromising competitions took place in the "Yoshlik" sports complex in Urganch for three days.

According to it:

1st place: Khorezm region team;

2nd place:Namangan region team;

3rd place: Surkhandarya region team.

The awarding ceremony started under the sound of our national anthem. After that, the winners were announced. The deputy governor of Khorezm region S. Salayev, the rector of Urganch State University B. Abdullayev and the deputy chairman of the organizing committee for holding Universiade sports competitions E. Kadirov gave a congratulatory speech and warmly congratulated the teams. They wish for high flights in their future activities.

After congratulations, gold, silver and bronze medals were worn to team members, diplomas and valuable gifts were presented.

Also, thanks were given to a group of officials for their contributions to the organization and holding the Republican final round of the "Universiade" sports competitions at a high level.
