Scientific-theoretical seminar of Urganch State University Associate Professor Azad Rakhimov of the Department of Fruits and Vegetables on the subject of practical training in Vegetables

In his lecture, the speaker said that vegetable crops are grown in open fields (in spring and autumn) to obtain vegetables and seeds, and in closed areas (regardless of the season). Total factors for plant growth and development in protected areas are artificially created and controlled in greenhouses. This makes it possible to grow vegetables in winter, early spring, and late autumn. It is distinguished by the large number of types of crops grown in S. and the diversity of their biological properties. About 70 types of S. crops are grown in Uzbekistan and occupy an important place in agriculture. It is known that melons were planted in Central Asia 2000 years ago, and watermelons, pumpkins, cucumbers, onions, carrots, peppers, radishes and others even earlier. World famous varieties of vegetable crops have been created in folk selection. Over the centuries, the species composition of vegetable crops has changed. For example, from the second half of the 19th century, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, bell pepper, and radish, patisson, Beijing cabbage and others came from Russia and became one of the main crops. in practical sessions, in small groups, educated, medium-educated, and poorly-educated students are selected in each group, they are given handouts, and they independently analyze the topic together with their group, ask the teacher about misunderstandings, and have 20 minutes before the end of the lesson in the rest, groups answer questions with each other and are evaluated. Therefore, at the beginning of the training, they should work together and fully explain the issue to each other.  In this way, the professors and teachers of the department asked the speaker and the student with the questions they were interested in, and the seminar was full of questions and in an upbeat spirit.
