Cultural program for Korean guests
A cultural and educational program was organized in honor of the delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Uzbekistan, Mr. Won Do-yeon, who visited Urgench State University today. At the beginning of the event, the Acting rector of Urgench State University, S.Khodjaniyozov, and Mr. Ambassador Won Do-yeon spoke, emphasizing the friendly relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea, the development of cooperation in the fields of education and culture, and the ties of Urgench State University with Korean universities.
Then, Associate Professor of the Department of English Language and Literature J.Ermetova introduced the scientific and practical activities carried out within the framework of the “Korean Studies and Korean Language Education” grant within the framework of the South Korean SEED program for Korean Studies.
In the cultural part of the event, students studying in the field of Philology and Language Teaching: Korean language presented songs, dances and artistic performances reflecting the customs, traditions and culture of the two peoples. The students left a great impression on the guests with their performances expressing the harmony of Korean and Uzbek culture.
This event was recognized as an important initiative that will further strengthen cultural ties between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
