“I will become a journalist too” – the first step towards creativity!

Today, on November 11, the initial session of the creative club “I Will Become a Journalist Too,” organized in cooperation with the Khorezm regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruniy.

This initiative is aimed at increasing young people’s interest in journalism, supporting their talent, and developing creative thinking skills. The club provides participants with the opportunity to directly interact with professionals in the field.

The event was attended by the head of the Khorezm regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, journalist and writer Dilbar Bekchanova, the well-known poet, recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal, and associate professor at Urgench Innovative University, Sayyora Samandarova, as well as Muhabbat To‘rabayeva, a correspondent for the newspaper “Ishonch.”

The guests spoke about their professional experience, creative pursuits, and the responsible aspects of journalistic activity. Students communicated with them directly and received answers to their questions.
Young journalists were also given assignments for the next sessions of the club.

The session was moderated by the head of the university’s Information Service Department, M. Akhmedova. Teachers of the Department of Translation Theory and Practice, M. Tillayeva and Z. Qurbonova, also took an active part.

This creative meeting plays an important role in further strengthening young people’s interest in journalism, introducing them to the secrets of the profession, and nurturing a talented generation that will find its place in the world of media and press in the future.
