Students Visit a Military Unit

Today, a group of students from all faculties of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, led by tutors, visited Military Unit No. 53008 located in the city of Urgench under the slogan “The Brave Defend the Motherland,” in connection with January 14 — Defenders of the Motherland Day.

The students were warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commander of the military unit for educational and ideological affairs, Major N. Qulmatov. During the visit, the students became closely acquainted with the activities of the military unit, the daily service routine of the servicemen, as well as the efforts carried out in the spirit of discipline and patriotism. This meeting further strengthened the youth’s devotion to the Motherland and enhanced their respect and interest in the military profession.

As part of the visit of Urgench State University students to Military Unit No. 53008 in the city of Urgench, they also participated in a spiritual and educational event organized in cooperation with the Khorezm Regional Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU). The event was attended and addressed by the Deputy Chairman of the Khorezm Regional Council of the PDPU, U. Qochqarov, a group of party representatives, the Chairman of the University Tutors’ Council, retired Major R. Matchanov, as well as staff members of the Youth Affairs Agency.

The speeches emphasized that defending the Motherland is a sacred duty and that today’s peaceful and stable life is the result of the dedicated service of brave and selfless military personnel. It was noted that such meetings play an important role in strengthening patriotic feelings among students and educating them in the spirit of responsibility for the fate of the country.
