Prospects for Future Cooperation Between Ulster University and Urgench State University Discussed

Today, January 20, an official meeting was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni with representatives of Ulster University (United Kingdom) on the occasion of seminar-training sessions organized within the framework of the “AELLCA” program.

Ulster University professors Barbara Skinner and Hoeritzauer Franz Josef, Professor Yelena Kandalina of Kostanay State University, as well as Acting Rector of Urgench State University S.Khodjaniyazov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Gh.Orazbayev, and Head of the Department of English Language and Literature R.Abidova attended in the meeting.

The parties exchanged views on the activities being implemented and future plans within the framework of the “AELLCA” project, discussed directions for developing international cooperation with Urgench State University, the introduction of joint educational programs, and the creation of new opportunities for faculty members and students.
During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the possibilities of implementing Ulster University’s educational programs on a franchising basis, expanding academic mobility, and carrying out joint scientific research projects.

In addition, Dr. Victoria McCollum, Deputy Dean for Partnerships of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Ulster University, participated in the meeting online. In her speech, she provided a detailed overview of Ulster University’s activities, its experience in international cooperation, and the prospects for developing collaboration with Urgench State University.

This meeting is of great importance for establishing long-term and effective cooperation between the two higher education institutions.
