A Scientific Seminar with the Participation of German Specialists Was Held at Urgench State University

Today, on March 5, a scientific seminar with the participation of a scientific delegation of the German Research Foundation (DFG) was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.

This visit was organized by the Central Asia Sustainable Innovation Bureau (CASIB) on behalf of the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the framework of the scientific seminar entitled “Promoting Sustainable Agroecosystems in Central Asia: A One Health Approach to Organic Contaminants.”

The seminar was opened by Z.Ibragimov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of the university, who expressed gratitude to the members of the delegation for their visit. He also emphasized that this meeting plays an important role in developing bilateral scientific cooperation and expanding joint research.

During the seminar, the scientists discussed the possibilities of cartographic technologies and the existing laboratory infrastructure, and analyzed the prospects of their application in research projects funded by the DFG. In addition, opinions were exchanged on expanding scientific cooperation between the university’s researchers and German specialists, conducting joint studies, and collaborating on international grant projects.

After the scientific seminar, members of the German Research Foundation (DFG) scientific delegation visited several scientific laboratories of the university and became closely acquainted with their activities. In particular, they got acquainted with the scientific work being carried out at the Agricultural Chemical Research Laboratory, the Agricultural Biological Research Laboratory, and the Agricultural Soil Research Laboratory.
