As part of international cooperation and knowledge exchange, visits by foreign professors and scientists to Urgench State University continue.

Professor Pedro-Jose Torres Villarroya from the Department of Applied Mathematics at the prestigious University of Granada (Spain) visited the Department of Algebra and Mathematical Engineering at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of UrSU from May 20 to May 28 of this year.

Professor Pedro-Jose Torres Villarroya serves as the scientific supervisor for Ogabek Otabek ugli Turayev, a master's student in the "Mathematical Engineering" specialization, who is writing his thesis on: "Direct and inverse problems for travelling waves of linear inhomogeneous 1D wave equations".

What is included in the visit program?

  • Research Wrap-up: During the visit, the professor will collaborate with his master's student, Ogabek Turayev, to conduct the final research work on the thesis topic.

  • Academic Dialogue and Presentations: Additionally, the Spanish scholar is expected to deliver special presentations focusing on his scientific research and recent advancements in the field for the faculty members, master's, and undergraduate students of the Department of Algebra and Mathematical Engineering.
