"THE AVID READER"
Today, January 30, the first edition of the "Avid Reader" (Kitobxon Talaba) competition—a traditional event organized by the Faculty of Philology and Arts—was held at Urgench State University. Faculty members and students participated in the event.For this edition, specific literary works were selected for the participants: Erkin Samandar’s *Traces of the Whirlwind, or Ogahiy* for students specializing in Uzbek Language Education, and Mikhail Bulgakov’s *The Master and Margarita* for those specializing in Russian Language Education. Participants competed against one another across two rounds.During the event, students from the presented a theatrical performance, musical numbers, and beautiful dance routines.The jury evaluated each round, and the winners of the competition were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
