The rector of UrSU made a presentation on plans aimed at increasing the tourist potential of Khiva and Bogot districts of Khorezm region

On February 23, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kungirotboy Sharipov, the work and future plans of a number of higher education institutions on increasing the potential of tourism in the attached regions were reviewed.

As mentioned, 67 tour packages were developed on the basis of information about the history, tourist objects and specific characteristics of 30 districts and cities attached to 11 universities to increase tourism potential.

During the meeting, rectors of higher education institutions stated that throughout 2024, student internships will continue in the regions at scientific conferences, festivals, and tourist facilities.

In particular, the Rector of Urgench State University Bakhrom Abdullayev also made a presentation on the tasks and plans set in 2024 aimed at increasing the tourist potential of Khiva and Bogot districts attached to the university.

It should be noted that in the first months of 2024, in particular, 6 major mathematicians from the USA, 30 doctoral students, students from different regions, who participated on January 5-9 in the international conference "Algorithm of the 21st Century" at USU, as well as in the organized 3-9 February at the School of Tourism, 14 students and teachers of the Udmurt State University of Russia and the Atyrau University of Kazakhstan named after Kh.Dosmukhamedov visited the ancient tourist areas of our country, such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Ayaz Kala and many tourist sites of Khiva and the Khorezm region.
