CAMP-2 seminar was held at Urgench State University


 

Today, on February 27, the CAMP-2 seminar of the "ECAMPUZ European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology" project within the framework of the European Union ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE program was held at Urgench State University.

Participants of CAMP-1, management of Urgench State University, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies, doctoral students, masters and students, representatives of the food industry in the region took part in it.

At first, Zafar Ibragimov, vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of UrSU, coordinator and manager of the project at the university, spoke about the content of the project and opened the work of the seminar.

At the seminar, Professor Jorge Ruiz-Carrascal of the University of Extremadura, Spain, Associate Professor from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark Bekzod Khakimovs gave a lecture on food analysis methods and chemometrics, microbiology, safety, chemistry and molecular gastronomy.

ECAMPUZ is a three-year joint Erasmus+ project on capacity building within the framework of the cooperation of six partner higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and two prestigious higher educational institutions of the European Union. It is designed to cover three important areas of food science and includes three world-leading research groups:
food analysis methods and chemometrics;
food microbiology and food safety;
food chemistry and molecular gastronomy.

Lectures of CAMP-1 participants are taking place now.
