UrSU hosts international scientific and practical conference

Today, the international scientific and practical conference on artificial intelligence “The First School of Computational Statistics and Machine Learning: Finite Mixture Modeling and Model-Based Cluster Analysis” began at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni on May 12-16. A group of foreign scientists and professors and teachers of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics are participating in it.

In particular, professors and teachers from prestigious universities in the United States, including Volodymyr Melnykov, Semhar Michael, Shuchismita Sarkar, Igor Melnykov, and Salvatore Ingrassia from the University of Catania in Italy, visited Urgench State University to participate in this conference.

First, the opening ceremony of the conference was held. The Acting rector of Urgench State University, Sardor Khodjaniyazov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Zafarbek Ibragimov, and American scientist Volodymyr Melnykov spoke and touched upon the importance of this conference in the development of the field of artificial intelligence.

After that, the conference proceedings began.

Currently, lectures by foreign scholars are being held on topics such as: "Modeling time-dependent proportions in a finite mixture setting", "A state-restricted hidden Markov model for authorship attribution of the Deutero-Pauline and pastoral epistles", "Gaussian mixture modeling and model-based clustering under measurement inconsistency", as well as "Mathematical modeling of cardiac regulatory mechanisms in the form of system of functional-differential equation with delay"
