An International Summer School Program has begun at Urgench State University


At Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, an International Summer School on the theme “Creating new perspectives for education and science together”, scheduled for August 17–21 of this year, has commenced.

The Summer School is attended by professors and lecturers from the University of Münster and the University of Wuppertal, Germany, as well as representatives of leading higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony was held at the beginning of the program. A. Atamuratov, Vice-rector for academic affairs and Innovation at the university, addressed the participants and conveyed the greetings of F. Madrahimova, Rector of the university.

Prof. Dr. Silvia Reuvekamp, Professor at the Institute of German Studies, Deputy dean of the Faculty of philology for Digitalization and Innovative Education, and Academic Director of the German-Uzbek Higher Education Network, also spoke at the ceremony and shared her views on promising areas of intercultural German studies.

The five-day program includes:
Artificial intelligence and scientific research;
The use of artificial intelligence in translation;
Modern approaches to teaching German;
Intercultural communication;
Research projects and PhD education;
Seminars and master classes on modern didactic approaches.

Cultural and educational visits to Khiva, Urgench, and Nukus are also planned for the participants.
