UrSU student Kuvonchbek Ismoilov won the world championship in Greco-Roman wrestling!
At the U20 World Championships in Wrestling, currently being held in Bratislava, Slovakia, Quvonchbek Ismoilov (63 kg), a member of Uzbekistan’s Greco-Roman wrestling national team and a student of Urgench State University majoring in Wrestling, won the gold medal.
In the final bout, Quvonchbek defeated the Russian wrestler 9:7, securing the top position on the podium.
Nenad Lalovich, President of United World Wrestling (UWW), ceremonially presented Quvonchbek Ismoilov with the World Championship Belt.
