The Rector's meetings with faculty teams have begun

Starting today, Feruza Madrahimova, Rector of Urgench State University, has begun a series of meetings with faculty teams. The first meeting was held with the participation of professors and lecturers, staff members, and tutors of the Faculty of Economics.

The meeting primarily focused on the work carried out at the Faculty of Economics during the 2025/2026 academic year and the prospective plans for the 2026/2027 academic year. At the beginning of the meeting, Dean of the Faculty Ilyos Abdullayev delivered a presentation on the faculty’s current activities and its key priorities for the future.

During the discussions, particular attention was paid to further enhancing research capacity, ensuring the employment of graduates, expanding dual education, improving the system of working with talented students, attracting international partners, and broadening academic mobility opportunities. The Rector provided relevant instructions and recommendations regarding the tasks to be implemented in these areas.

Proposals were also discussed on strengthening the activities of student clubs, supporting students’ startup ideas, and systematically addressing issues related to student accommodation and rental housing. The proposal to establish a special Business Preparation Room, aimed at preparing students interested in entrepreneurship for business activities and developing their practical skills, was also supported, and specific tasks were set for its implementation.

The Rector’s meetings with the teams of all faculties will continue according to the approved schedule.
