Seminar training
Professors and teachers from the UrSu Faculty of Foreign Philology participated in international seminars and training in Astana. From December 8th to 12th of this year,professors and teachers from the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruniy participated in international seminar and training held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event was organised within the framework of the British Council's "Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia (AELLCA Phase II)" program. During the visit, a special training session was held for teachers at School-Gymnasium No. 87 in Astana. During the training sessions, experiences were exchanged on modern approaches to teaching English, communicative methods, and interactive technologies. Additionally, the head of the Department of English Language and Literature, Rokhatoy Abidova, delivered lecture and conducted practical training for teachers and students from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The seminars discussed the practical application of the methodology of the PRESETT – the initial training system for English teachers. As a result of the meetings held, agreements were reached on future cooperation directions with Bishkek State University and the Eurasian National University.
