Today, on April 1, the next scientific-theoretical seminar was held at the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni.
The seminar was attended by the department's faculty members and graduate students.
During the seminar, the department’s trainee lecturer, Nargiza Saidahmedova, delivered a report on the topic “Translation of Comparative Phraseological Units in the German Language.”
The report analyzed the national and cultural characteristics of phraseological units and the challenges of translating them into Uzbek. To ensure translation adequacy, the importance of finding alternative options, using synonymous units, and employing explanatory translation methods was emphasized.
During the seminar, participants showed great interest in the topic and provided necessary recommendations for its further elaboration.
