Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court Held a Meeting with Female Students
Today, at Urgench State University, the Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Head of the Association of Women Judges, Malika Kalandarova, held a meeting with female students.
The meeting was attended by the Rector of Urgench State University, Feruza Madrahimova, Deputy Hokim of Khorezm region, Nigora Kutlimuratova, Chairperson of the Administrative Court of Khorezm region, Jamila Sultanova, as well as a group of women judges.
Opening the event, the Rector of the university, Feruza Madrahimova, emphasized the importance of such meetings in enhancing the legal awareness of young people and helping them gain a deeper understanding of the essence of reforms in public administration and the judicial-legal system.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Malika Kalandarova, spoke about the role of women in the judicial system, the responsibility of the legal field, and the specific features of working within the judiciary. Sharing her professional experience, M. Kalandarova highlighted that the profession of a judge requires a high level of responsibility and that every decision must strictly adhere to the principles of justice and equality. She also noted that the ability of women judges to control emotions and make decisions based solely on the criteria of justice is an integral part of a judge’s honor and professional duty.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on issues such as attention to women and girls in society, opportunities in education, reforms in the judicial and legal system, ensuring citizens’ rights and freedoms, increasing the openness and transparency of judicial bodies, and broadly involving young professionals in the system.
The meeting was held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, where students actively participated by asking questions of interest and receiving detailed answers from specialists.
