A delegation of Urgench State University visited Layonin Pedagogical University in China

Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, it is planned to establish a branch of Liaoning Pedagogical University in Khiva. In this regard, on June 8-9 of this year, a delegation led by the rector of Urgench State University Feruza Madrahimova visited Liaoning Pedagogical University in Dalian, People's Republic of China, to discuss the establishment of a branch of Liaoning Pedagogical University. Currently, work is being carried out to provide the branch with facilities and its material and technical base.

First, a meeting was held with the General Secretary of the Party of Liaoning Pedagogical University, Ms. Liu Hong, and the Rector of the University, Mr. Luo Wenbo, regarding the processes of establishing this branch.   Negotiations were also held under the leadership of the Vice-Rector of the University, Li Yujun, with the participation of the head and officials of the International Cooperation Department of the University, as well as the directors of the institute within the university.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the essence of the trilateral agreement signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Liaoning Pedagogical University of China, and Urgench State University. They also reviewed the tasks, powers, and obligations of the parties specified in the agreement within the framework of the organizational processes of the Liaoning Pedagogical University branch being established in the city of Khiva.

During the visit, a symposium on China-Uzbekistan humanitarian exchange and mutual learning between regional civilizations was also held. Rector of Urgench State University Feruza Madrahimova participated in the symposium with a report on cooperation between Uzbekistan and China. At the end of the symposium, the rector of Liaoning Pedagogical University conferred the title of Honorary Professor upon Feruza Madrahimova.
