Scientific-Theoretical Seminar
A regular scientific-theoretical seminar was held at the Department of English Philology, Faculty of Foreign Philology, Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni. During the seminar, Hilola Dmitrievna Bekchanova, a doctoral student at the Department of English Philology, delivered a presentation on the topic “Functional and Stylistic Features of Onomastic Units in Uzbek and English Poetry.” The presentation examined the functions performed by onomastic units in Uzbek and English poetry. It was also highlighted that names in poetry serve not merely as identifiers, but simultaneously activate memory, symbolism, evaluation, and cultural codes.At the end of the seminar, participants exchanged views on the topic and had the opportunity to receive answers to their questions.
