"October 1 — Teachers and Mentors' Day"

      In keeping with tradition, a festive event dedicated to "October 1 — Teachers and Mentors Day" was organized at Urgench State University. From the early morning, students welcomed the faculty with flowers. A special program was held for them at the Palace of Culture, followed by a celebratory *pilaf* lunch hosted by the university administration. During the event, poems were recited and musical performances were presented in honor of the teachers.      
     Visits were also made to the homes of faculty members who—for various reasons—could not attend the official celebration; specifically, a visit was paid to Olga Ibragimovna Palvanova, a professor in the Department of Russian Language and Literature, to check on her well-being. During the visit, she received holiday greetings, a certificate of merit, and gifts. Furthermore, visits were made to the homes of veteran educators who had served the university for many years. Among them was Khadamboy Babadjanovich Salayev, an honorary teacher from the Department of Russian Language and Literature Faculty of Philology, whose significant contributions to education and the advancement of science, as well as his long and productive career, were duly acknowledged. Veteran educators shared their many years of pedagogical experience and personal memories, and expressed sincere gratitude to the faculty team.
