International scientific and practical conference commences at UrSU

Today, October 16, an international scientific and practical conference entitled “Integrated Scientific and Practical Foundations of Energy Efficiency, Environmental Safety, Green Building Technologies, and Innovative Engineering Communications in the Process of Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development” commenced at Abu Rayhan Biruni Urgench State University on the initiative of the Department of Construction.

The conference is attended by leading scientists, professors, lecturers, industry specialists, and researchers from Egypt, Germany, Turkish, the United States, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as faculty members and students of the Faculty of Engineering. The conference was officially opened with a welcoming address by Alimardon Atamuratov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the University.

The plenary session, moderated by Nilufar Tokhbaeva, Professor at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, began with a scientific presentation by Toxir Mamatmusayev, Acting Chief Scientific Secretary of the Higher Attestation Commission and Professor, addressing issues related to ensuring the compliance of requirements for academic degrees and titles with international standards.

During the plenary session of the international scientific and practical conference, Mahmoud Ahmed Mohamed Emam, Professor at Cairo University, Egypt, delivered a scientific presentation on the sustainable management of historic buildings in Central Asia. German specialist Uwe Philipp discussed the development and future prospects of road infrastructure in Germany, while Shahzod Taxirov, Professor at the University of California, USA, presented modern methods of infrastructure monitoring and modeling, as well as approaches to improving its seismic resilience.

In addition, Abdivap Zulpuev, Professor at Osh Technological University in Kyrgyzstan; Vaxitxan Ismailov, Director of the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and Tire Rejai and Volkan Atsiz, specialists of ARTON URGANCH INVEST LLC, participated in the conference with their scientific presentations.

The presentations provided a platform for comprehensive scientific discussions on innovative construction materials and modern structural solutions, urban planning and design with consideration of seismic risks, technologies for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, and the improvement of quality characteristics of silicate construction materials.

At the conclusion of the plenary session, certificates were presented to the participants of the international scientific and practical conference. The certificates were awarded by Sanjar Madaminov, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
