Children from families in need of social protection are being trained in free preparatory courses


In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set at the videoconference meeting on the effectiveness of the work carried out in the field of social protection in 2024 and priority tasks for 2025, held under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev on December 13, 2024, and to create additional conditions for youngsters to improve their knowledge in general education subjects through preparatory courses, as well as in accordance with the order of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation No. 18 dated January 17, 2025 "On the organization of preparatory courses for applicants to higher education institutions, including children of graduating classes from poor and low-income families", free preparatory courses have been organized by Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. 

Urgench State University is attached to the Bog'ot, Gurlan and Qo'shko'pir districts of Khorezm region, and today a total of 171 graduating students are being taught preparatory courses in 11 subjects by university professors and teachers. 

In particular, preparatory courses in 10 subjects have been organized in Gurlan district, and these courses are being conducted by university professors and teachers on a schedule basis. The activities of the courses are regularly monitored by the university management. In particular, today, on May 12, the Dean of the Faculty of Technology M.Qurbonov reviewed the processes of preparatory courses organized at school No. 3 in Gurlan district.
