A Solemn Ceremony Dedicated to the Start of the New Academic Year Held at Urgench State University

Today, on September 3, in honor of the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year, a solemn event and the "Student Oath" ceremony for first-year students were held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni under the motto “For the Homeland, for the Nation, for the People.”

The event was attended by professionals from various fields who contribute significantly to the development of our country, public and state figures, renowned scholars and creatives, students and their parents, as well as the university's faculty.

The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations, Z. Ibragimov. Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Professor Kemal Pixa from the University of South Bohemia (Czech Republic), Professor H.Babajonov, and B.Bekmetov, a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, recipient of the "Shukhrat" (Glory) Medal, and a well-known poet. They sincerely congratulated the students on the start of the new academic year and the 34th anniversary of our country's independence. They encouraged students to acquire modern knowledge and skills, contribute meaningfully to national development, and wished them academic success.

As part of the event, first-year students recommended for admission in the 2025–2026 academic year took the “Student Oath.”

This ceremony further strengthened in the hearts of the young people embarking on a new stage of life a sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment to knowledge.
