Scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 1052nd anniversary of Abu Rayhon Biruni’s birth took place


On September 4, at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, a scientific-practical conference was held dedicated to the 1052nd anniversary of the birth of the great scholar, thinker, and scientist Abu Rayhon Biruni. The event was organized by the Khorezm Regional Branch of the Society of Historians of Uzbekistan and was titled “The Great Thinker Abu Rayhon Biruni and His Contribution to World Science.”

The conference was opened by Y.Jumaniyozova, Head of the Department of Scientific Research, Innovations, and Training of Scientific and Pedagogical Personnel at UrSU. Following her, several scholars took the floor: University Honorary Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences Q. Sobirov; Scientific Secretary of the “Ichan Qala” Museum Reserve, Candidate of Technical Sciences K. Khudoyberganov; Member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, poet Q. Muhammadrizo; Professor of Urgench Innovative University O.N. Naumenko; and Professor of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences Mirsodiq Is’hoqov. They shared their thoughts on the current significance of Abu Rayhon Biruni’s scientific heritage and his invaluable contribution to world science. The event was moderated by Professor Y. Rahmonova, Chairperson of the Khorezm Regional Branch of the Society of Historians of Uzbekistan.

During the conference, scholars, young researchers, and students discussed issues related to studying Beruni’s legacy, promoting it, and ensuring its integration with modern science.

Currently, the conference continues its work through sectional meetings.
