There are art, examples of creativity, songs close to the heart, behind which there is the work of some kind of talent. People's poet of Uzbekistan Muhammad Yusuf was one of such talents. If he had lived, the late poet Muhammad Yusuf would have turned 70 today.

The next issue of the "Poetry Podium" competition, which is traditionally held by the faculty of Uzbek philology at Urgench State University, is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of our beloved poet Muhammad Yusuf.

Rector of the university B.Abdullayev opened the event, which was organized with the participation of the management of Urgench State University, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Uzbek Philology, and students, and expressed his thoughts about the personality of the poet and his creative skills.

The competition was held on the poetry of the national poet of Uzbekistan Muhammad Yusuf for students of the Uzbek language, and on the works of the Russian poetess Marina Ivanova Svetayeva for the students of the Russian language. 11 students of the faculty competed against each other on the basis of 2 conditions. In the artistic part, the performances of students of the 221st group of the field of practical philology were presented.

During the competition, poet Muhammad Yusuf's work was addressed in each of the artistic performances. Poems that were equally pleasing to the hearts were read expressively.

At the end of the competition, the dean of the faculty D.G'ayipov awarded the winners.
