Urgench State University Hosts the Regional Stage of the Zulfiya State Award
According to Resolution No. 731 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 1, 2024, the procedure for selecting candidates for the Zulfiya State Award was established. This award is intended for talented young women aged 14–30 who stand out among their peers for their social activity, talent, and achievements in education, science, literature, culture, arts, sports, information technology, and public activities.
In this regard, today the regional stage of this prestigious award began at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni. A ceremonial opening marked the start of the event.
At the event, the head of the Khorezm branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, G.Ibadullayeva, and the chief editor of the newspaper “Khorezm Haqiqati,” S.Rahimberganov, spoke, highlighting the significance of the Zulfiya Award in supporting and encouraging the talents of young women and strengthening their role in society.
This process serves as an important social platform aimed at revealing the potential of young, creative, intelligent, and active girls, supporting them, and encouraging them to achieve new successes.
Currently, the regional commission for selecting candidates for the Zulfiya State Award is carrying out its work based on the decision of the Khorezm regional governor.
