Legal Support is an independent structural unit or position, which is compulsorily established or introduced in accordance with the norms and criteria established by law for the purpose of legal support of the activities of Urgench State University.
Legal Support is directly subject to the rector of Urgench State University.
In accordance with the Regulation "On legal support of state bodies and organizations", approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 19, 2017 № PP-2733, the following are the main areas of legal services:
- organization of ensuring the rule of law and legality in law enforcement activities of the University;
- control over the compliance with the legislation of projects of normative legal and other documents developed (adopted) by the University;
- participate in the legislative activities of the university, coordinate the work of university departments, faculties on the preparation of proposals for improving the legislation;
- increasing the legal culture and legal literacy of university staff, students, participation in conveying to them the content and significance of the adopted regulations, including through modern information and communication technologies;
- carrying out contractual and legal proceedings, ensuring reliable protection of property and other interests of the university.
