Respect for Literature and Art

Today, on February 20, a cultural and educational evening was held at the initiative of the Faculty of Philology and Arts of Urgench State University to mark the 78th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Uzbek literary and artistic figure, Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan, poet, translator, and researcher Matnazar Abdulhakim, as well as the 88th anniversary of the birth of the renowned poet, writer, playwright, and recipient of the “Dustlik” Order Qurbon Muhammadrizo.

During the evening, students skillfully performed selections from the writers’ poetry, musical pieces were presented, and meaningful stage performances were shown. Through these artistic presentations, the rich spiritual heritage of the prominent authors and their great contribution to the development of national literature were vividly expressed.

At the event, the faculty dean, Professor D.Ghayipov, and composer and art figure Q.Rakhimov, a close friend of Matnazar Abdulhakim, delivered speeches and shared warm memories about the lives and creative work of the writers, as well as their role in the development of literature and national culture.

This artistic event helped strengthen young people’s appreciation for literature and art and fostered a deeper respect for the national cultural heritage.
